Jenna Fischer has become best well-known as Pam Beesly, the character she played in The Office. For her character, she was awarded two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for the Best Supporting Actress.
Her birthplace and childhood was in Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna's mom Anne used to perform in dramas at church in her younger years, and this instilled an passion for theater.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her home base after finishing The Office. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons for Being Happy. After starring in Steve Martin's new production Meteor Shower (an absurdist comedy featuring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg), she was then invited to appear in at the Old Globe Theatre's record-breaking world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer created Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf in October 2019. The podcast has proven to be hugely successful, reaching its Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads within its first two-years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
She's written two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her experience in Hollywood as a working actor as well as Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Great Friends who were There, an account of the most memorable relationship they shared and their experiences on The Office.
