Katherine Heigl admits her childhood in a bubble of white and how this realization affected how she raised her adopted, multiracial children. In an interview, she said recently that, in terms of skin color, it doesn't really matter. After speaking with her sister, who was adopted by South Korea she realized just how differently society treats the children. When I asked Meg about how she was treated while out in public, either regardless of whether we were with our parents, she said it was distinct. Meg said, 'Oh, sure, I've seen the whole thing I've seen it all! It made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to parents. Heigl admitted she became frustrated and thought it was crucial to put her anger on helping her adoptee daughters. Heigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been together for thirteen years. They have adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) and is black in 2009.
