April Lockhart

April Lockhart, born in 1995 on July 4th July, started taking guitar and piano lessons at age seven. The passion for creating songs was sparked. April's first song was Different. She wrote it at the age of 12. In her 14th year April was a big devotee of her time to writing and practicing songs. Soon, April began to take trips to NY and LA along with her dad to help them write songs. April included other subjects in her song"Take my Hand. These topics were for friends that dealt issues like peer pressure, and disabilities, or even teenage suicidal thinking. Lockhart is a well-known lifestyle blogger and working in partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia, has built her own following. As a woman born with no left hand, Lockhart is a major part of her. However, it's not the only thing she has to tell. Lockhart's Twitter profile does not conceal her being disabled and does not focus on it. The message? It's crucial to understand that we all have multiple faces. Our identities vary and we're much more than our bodies. I don't want that to be the only thing that defines me. I don't wish to become a disability influencer where it's the only thing I speak about since there are many different elements to me Lockhart says via video from her residence in Nashville. The issue doesn't affect my everyday routine. I go about doing my job as normal and have found my own methods to adjust. Because it's an integral part of me, it's something that's worthy of discussion. Lockhart is a great example of how to stay striving to be self-accepting. Even so, Lockhart admits to going through periods that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance and wearing clothing with arms. She is able to wear anything she likes, and is proud to share photos of herself wearing these clothes. It's a journey is the key thing I'm not certain that will ever be the end about self-love. The same is true for everybody, no matter what their level of insecurity. It is important to have people around you who are aware of and understand your situation.
